Warm & Fuzzy Holidays

Looking back at all the holidays, I think the younger I was, the more they ment to me now that I am older.
My familes tradition was to always gather up and go drive around and look at christmas lights, then when we returned back to who evers house the Christmas was at, and Santa had already been there so we all go our gifts from him and the kids would be so excited to show the adults.
My aunt always gave us reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard to give to "rudolph" and the other reindeer
Since family members have grew older, traditions have changed but Christmas time is always a time for being with your loved ones and giving.
I'm super excited for this christmas because I'm going all out on gifts and I can actually afford to pay for my own gifts to give my family.

New York Times

Laurie Goodstein is a national religion correspondent for The New York Times and I find her very interesting because she is a very motivated person. Covering religion is hard, but she is very good at it.

Laurie has never gone undercover for any of her stories, but I think that, that would be a way exciting experience and something really interesting to read about. After reading more information about Laurie, and why she has not gone undercover. as a New York Reporter, it's their obligation to be true about their idenity.

Something that I really enjoyed reading about Laurie is that she is really big about letting her readers express their opionons, and not only expresses them, but express their opinions on religion!

State playoffs

The bad mouth talking from students here at fremont towards the Bergan football players i think is just pathetic. Fremont and Bergan are two totally different classes so Bergan making it to state and Fremont not making it has nothing to do with Bergan being better Fremont. I think that students at Fremont High should be happy for the Bergan Football players because they got somewhere in football and have a chance at taking state.

I believe

Since the day I can remember my dad has always told me, "the only man a girl can trust is her daddy" I think I was raised to believe that. Not because I was brainwashed that boys can't be trusted, but because of past trust experiences. Of my four years of high school I have had two long term relationships. I told these two boys everything there was to know about me, somethings only my family knew. I knew we were not going to be together forever, but I was not expecting to completely lose friendships with these boys and have some hate for each other. Because of this I have learned that my daddy is the only one I can trust. He is the only man I can tell everything to and I can come back to him years later and he will still be there to listen. Not everyone has a close relationship with their father like I do so not everyone can agree with me. Fortuneatly for me, I can, because I truely believe the only man a girl can trust is her daddy.

starting a new journey

As January gets near, I plan more and more for college. As an early graduate I have learned that there as been many things I have been craming to do. Much procrastination.
I never knew what it was like to be a senior. There is so much to do. Senior pictures, graduation party, ordering cap and gown, picking a college and of course just passing high school for your fianl year and making sure you have enough credits to get out early. What I'm most excited for after graduation is being on my own, just to see if i can do it. I think living on your own can tell how you were raised and shows a person how independent they really are. I have long term and short term goals. Such as just getting out of high school early and long term such as getting into college and getting off to a good start. I look forward to going off to college early and starting a new journey in life.

The quater comes to an end

This quarter of Rustler has been one heck of a ride. It's had it's ups and for me, its had it's emotional downs, but fortuneatly I have learned a lot more this year, than I did my sophmore and junior year. The first thing that popped into my head that I have learned is that I DO have the ability to get along with the people I never pictured myeslf talking to. I have also relized how much I enjoy getting out and interviewing friends, and also people I have never seen before. Not only have I relized it, but I noticed that other people have seen how much I like getting out to the public.

I have not only learned things about myself, but also things about writing, such as a good lead is not always a good enough lead, you really need one to catch a readers attention. I've learned things about captions, photography and how to write a head line. your topic then a verb.

I think that this class is a great experience for students who enjoy to write and take photos and is a good head start for their future in writing and photography. There isnt a thing that I'd change about this class, except that I could stay all year.

I'm a Dreamer

One of my weirdest dreams would have to be when I was in a huge, green field of zebras and I kept sprinting farther and farther from the zebras beacuse I was so teffifeid. All of the sudden, I was in a gigantic candy store full of gum drops and ring pops. All the zebras started devouring the candy, then all of the sudden, they turned the color of the candy they ate. The zebras became very full, they were bloated. They started to run back into the huge green feild and started running off all the candy, but oddly, they became kangaroos and started jumping into the deep feild, and all of the sudden they were GONE!

Never giving up!

The 2008-2009 year of football season has not started off exactly how we hoped. Going into the 5th game with the record 0-4 many studens are wondering, why have our students not given up on school spirit. I think its awesome that all the students in the student section at games have not given up on the coaches or players. hopefully we can step up our game and change our losing streak into a few winning games.

It's election time!

This time of the year is a very important time for politics, even if you don't understand what is exactly going on. Just turning eighteen this year, I've learned just how important it is to vote.
I strongly believe that if you are eighteen, that you should vote wheather you understand exactly what is going on, or just a little bit. One vote can count and make a difference. Having the ability to vote and decide whose going to run to your country is a very big deal if you have the chance to vote in the US, why not do it?
